After achieving a BFA in Fashion, Design Eloisa went off to work for designers Margaret O’Leary, Haute Bride, IGIGI, Levis, and other independent designers. She applied her fashion design skills, Custom Pattern Maker for Clothing, apparel pattern making skills, and retail merchandising knowledge to her everyday tasks, which led her to positions in managing local and overseas apparel production. She later applied her experience of fashion design, apparel development, and local production to develop her first venture, a line of custom dressmakers in Alameda, California. With over 20 years of experience, Eloisa has operated Bay Thread, and a company focused on helping designers with apparel development and production services. Bay Thread has served thousands of emerging and established designers, and Bay Thread’s clients inspire Eloisa daily with their creativity and dedication. “Every designer is unique with their own vision, their own thought processes, and they each have their own individual experiences!” It is my job to ensure we provide a seamless service that makes the detailed-oriented processes easy and enjoyable! Bay Thread provides guidance to clients with zero industry experience as well as providing individual services for their well-established clients. They assist with any size project, one single item, or large extensive collections in women’s, men’s, and kid’s wear, including bridal, swim, activewear, and accessories.
